The 16th edition of Asia Cup is starting from August 30 in Pakistan with the home side taking on the onlt Associate team in the competition, Nepal. Nepal has make it to their first ever Asia Cup in 50-overs format after clinching the title of ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2023 at TU Cricket Ground. Nepal defeated UAE in the final in front of minimum 30 thousands fans.
The Asia Cup 2023 will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka after Indian cricket team refuses to play any match in Pakistan. A total of 13 matches will be played during the tournament, among which, only four of them will be hosted in Pakistan. Nepal vs Pakistan is one among those four.
Nepal will take on Pakistan on August 30 at Multan Cricket Stadium at 3:15 pm Nepali time. Nine matches will be played at Sri Lanka across two venues.

Group Stage and Super Four
There are total six teams in the Asia Cup 2023. They are divided into two groups with three teams in each group. group A comprises of Pakistan, India and Nepal. Similarly, Group B comprises of Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
During the group stage, all the three teams will play against each other with each team getting chance tyo play a couple of matches. After the completion of all group matches, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the super four.
In super four, all the teams will play each other. Unlike in the World Cup Qualifier, the group stage points won’t carry in the super four. It will be fresh start. After the completion of Super 4, the top two teams will qualify for the final.
