CAN announced Final Squad for Global Qualifiers; Sompal Kami Left Out

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Thursday announced the final squad for the upcoming global qualifiers in Oman.

The qualifiers will start from February 15 and the final will be played in February 25. Nepal will play their first match against Oman in February 18.

In the final 16 members, Sompal Kami was the biggest name to miss out. He has been out of form since few years and was unable to deliver in recently concluded PM Cup.

Bibek Yadav, Pradeep Airee and Lokesh Bam are the new inclusion in the team who were the top performer in the PM Cup. Lokesh Bam was the one to catch the eye of fans with his hard hitting batting in the PM Cup. He made 152 runs with the strike rate of 211.

Nepal are in Group A along with Oman, Canada and Philippines. Similarly, in Group B, there are Ireland, UAE, Germany and Philippines.
