Kushal Bhurtel Storms into top 61 in ICC T20I Batting Ranking

Nepal’s wonder batsman Kushal Bhurtel made it to top 61 in the latest ICC T20I Ranking for Batting. Bhurtel, who made four T20I Half-centuries in his first five T20I matches was adjusted the player of the series in recently concluded Tri-nation series.

Bhurtel is the first batsman to score consecutive three T20I half-centuries starting from debut. In his brilliant debut with Nepal national team, he made 62 off 46 deliveries. Similarly, in the second match he remained unbeaten in 61 runs and made the record after scoring 62 in his third match.

In his fourth match, he was unfortunate to be caught on 16 runs. However, he sealed the series after making his career best 77 runs in the final of the series.

Kushal Bhurtel remained at 61st position with 442 points. According to the ranking, Bhurtel is ahead of global stars like Australia’s Steve Smith, India’s Rishab Pant and many more.
