Liverpool are currently 23 points ahead of second placed City and a lose or even a draw at Stamford Bridge would hand the Reds their much awaited league title.
Liverpool could have won the title on Wednesday after defeating Crystal Palace 4-0, but their goal-less draw at Everton couple of days earlier denied it.
If Manchester City emerges victorious at the Bridge, Liverpool will have to wait until July 3 when the top two faces each other.
